Continuing Education and Competency program
The College of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology of Prince Edward Island (CASLPPEI) requires all registrants to fulfill their Continuing Education and Competency (CEC) requirements as part of the registration and renewal process. Please take note of the following key updates for the CEC program:
CEC Cycle Start:
- Registrants from the 2023 cycle (transitional and new) must complete their CEC requirements by 2026.
- Registrants from the 2024 cycle must complete their requirements by 2027.
Jurisprudence Exam (JE):
- As part of 2024 CEC requirements, concluding at the end of October, all registrants must complete the Jurisprudence Exam (JE).
- This open-book exam covers PEI-specific regulations and is available through your account on our database, HMS.
Steps to Complete Your CEC Requirements for 2024:
- Log in to your CASLPPEI account via the HMS portal.
- On your dashboard click on the "Jurisprudence Exam" tab.
- Review the provided information, and when ready, click the "Start the Exam" button at the bottom.
